Banzuzi has signed a five-year contract, the German club confirmed. According to media reports, RB Leipzig will pay approximately €16 million for the central midfielder. Banzuzi has been playing in Belgium’s top division since 2023 and has made 66 appearances so far. He is also a regular starter for the Netherlands U21 team.
“He is a classic player – tall, fast, physically and technically strong. He also has good passing skills and the ability to deliver in front of goal, especially from set pieces,” said RB Leipzig sporting director Marcel Schäfer.
