The Los Angeles Lakers recorded their third consecutive defeat, falling 106-126 to the Milwaukee Bucks. The loss comes amid multiple injuries to key players in the Lakers’ rotation, with LeBron James, Rui Hachimura, Jaxson Hayes, and Maxi Kleber all sidelined.

In their absence, newly acquired Slovenian star Luka Doncic led the way for the Lakers, scoring 45 points, including seven three-pointers, and grabbing 11 rebounds. Austin Reaves also had a strong performance, finishing with 28 points. The Lakers now face a grueling schedule, with six games in just eight days. They visit Denver tomorrow before hosting Phoenix on Sunday.

Four Milwaukee players finished with over 20 points. Greek superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, who recently entered the NBA’s top 50 all-time scoring list, recorded 24 points, while Brook Lopez and Damian Lillard added 23 and 22, respectively. Kevin Porter Jr., recently acquired from the LA Clippers, scored 22 points in just 17 minutes of play.

The victory strengthened Milwaukee’s hold on fourth place in the Eastern Conference with a 37-28 record, while the Lakers remain fourth in the West at 40-24. Before LeBron James’ injury, the team occupied second place in the conference.
