    Key Takeaways:

  • Stephen Curry became the first player in NBA history to reach 4,000 career three-pointers
  • Golden State Warriors dominated from beyond the arc, shooting 56.4% (22-of-39) from three in a 130-104 win over the Sacramento Kings
  • Draymond Green led the Warriors with 23 points, while Jonathan Kuminga added 18 off the bench

Stephen Curry continues to rewrite the history books. Already the NBA’s all-time leader in three-pointers, the Golden State Warriors star became the first player to reach 4,000 made threes in his career.

The milestone came in Golden State’s commanding 130-104 victory over fellow California team Sacramento Kings. Less than a week after reaching 25,000 career points, Curry entered yet another exclusive club, this time as its only member. The baby-faced assasin celebrates his 37th birthday today, making the accomplishment even more special.

The Warriors’ sharpshooter finished with a modest 11 points in 30 minutes, shooting 2-of-6 from deep. However, that was enough to reach the 4,000 mark and extend his record as the NBA’s greatest three-point shooter. James Harden, second on the all-time list, remains far behind with 3,127 career threes.

An unexpected hero stepped up for Golden State. Draymond Green, known more for his defense and playmaking than scoring, led the Warriors with 23 points to help them secure their 38th win of the season. Jonathan Kuminga contributed 18 points off the bench, while DeMar DeRozan was Sacramento’s top scorer with 23 points.

Golden State torched the Kings from deep, shooting an impressive 56.4% from three-point range (22-of-39). The dominant performance helped them move ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves in the battle for a direct playoff spot. The Warriors now sit sixth in the Western Conference at 38-28, while Minnesota follows closely behind at 38-29.
