Villarreal delivered a commanding 4-0 victory over Mallorca in the final match of La Liga’s 20th round. This marks the “Yellow Submarine’s” first home league win in over two months. Remarkably, all four goals were scored within just eight minutes before halftime. Logan Costa, Alejandro Baena, Daniel Parejo, and Yeremy Pino found the back of the net in quick succession.

In the second half, Villarreal eased their offensive pressure, showing mercy to their opponents. Mallorca had opportunities to score a consolation goal, but Vedat Muriqi missed a promising header, and Luis Junior made a fine save to deny a dangerous free-kick effort from Johan Mojica late in the game.

With this victory, Marcelino García Toral’s Villarreal climbed to fifth place in the standings with 33 points. Mallorca, now on a three-game losing streak across all competitions, sits sixth with 30 points. Their recent defeats include a 0-3 loss to Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup semifinals and another 0-3 setback to Pontevedra in the Copa del Rey.
