  • United values the 20-year-old Argentine winger between £60–70 million
  • Napoli is exploring alternatives as they seek to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is close to joining PSG

Manchester United has turned down an opening bid of £40 million from Napoli for winger Alejandro Garnacho, according to reports from the BBC. The proposed amount falls well below the Red Devils’ valuation of the Argentine, which is believed to be between £60 and £70 million.

Napoli is currently in the market for a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is finalizing a move to Paris Saint-Germain. However, Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News suggests that Napoli is unlikely to meet United’s asking price and is considering alternative options.

Garnacho has been a consistent contributor to Manchester United, recording 117 appearances and 23 goals for the first team. Despite earlier speculation that Garnacho’s playing style might not align with manager Rúben Amorim’s system, the Portuguese coach confirmed his commitment to the player’s future at the club.

Speaking after the Red Devils’ recent victory over Southampton, Amorim said: “He has talent. I think he’s changed the way he views himself. He’s finding the best way to fit into this system and is improving in training.”

As the transfer window progresses, it remains to be seen whether United will reconsider their stance or if Napoli will intensify their efforts to secure Garnacho’s signature.
