Real Madrid secured their place in the Copa del Rey quarterfinals after a dramatic 5-2 victory over Celta Vigo at the Santiago Bernabéu. The match required extra time after a late comeback from the visitors.

Celta, however, refused to back down. Jonathan Bamba reduced the deficit with a goal in the 84th minute, and Marcos Alonso converted a penalty in injury time to force the game into extra time.

In the additional periods, Real Madrid took control. Endrick scored twice, first in the 108th minute and then again in the 120th minute, and Federico Valverde added one in the 112th minute. The late surge ensured Carlo Ancelotti’s team progression to the next round.
