West Ham secured a 3-2 victory over Fulham in a thrilling London derby during Round 21 of the Premier League, giving Graham Potter a dream return to the league. Despite Fulham’s dominance in possession and chances, two defensive errors proved costly for the visitors, while West Ham’s efficiency in front of goal made the difference.

Carlos Soler opened the scoring in the 31st minute, capitalizing on a misplaced pass by Andreas Pereira to slot the ball into the net. Just two minutes later, Tomas Soucek doubled the Hammers’ lead with a well-placed header. Fulham responded in the second half when Alex Iwobi reduced the deficit in the 51st minute.

However, a major mistake by Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno gifted Lucas Paqueta a chance to restore West Ham’s two-goal advantage, which he converted. Iwobi struck again in the 78th minute with a similar effort to his first goal, but it was not enough to salvage a result for Fulham.

The win lifts West Ham to 12th place in the Premier League standings with 26 points, while Fulham remains in 9th position with 30 points.
