Liverpool has reportedly turned down a £70 million bid from Saudi club Al-Hilal for Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez, according to the fan site AnfieldWatch. Al-Hilal, which counts Neymar among its stars, is keen to sign Nunez but fell short of Liverpool’s valuation of around £85 million.

Rumours of interest in Nunez have been circulating in recent weeks, with AC Milan also expressing a desire to sign the player. However, the Italian club is unlikely to meet Liverpool’s high asking price.

Al-Hilal’s proposal included a lucrative personal offer for Nunez, reportedly worth £400,000 per week—a substantial increase from his current £140,000 weekly wage at Anfield.

The Uruguayan striker joined Liverpool in the summer of 2022 from Benfica for a fee of €85 million. Since then, he has made 122 appearances for the Reds, scoring 37 goals and contributing 21 assists.
