Roma lost 2-3 at home to Bologna yesterday, suffering their fifth league defeat of the season. The loss marked the final match for manager Ivan Jurić, who was dismissed shortly afterward. Stephan El Shaarawy scored twice for Roma, but Bologna took all three points with goals from Santiago Castro, Riccardo Orsolini, and Jesper Karlsson.

Jurić replaced Daniele De Rossi at the beginning of the 2024/25 season following Roma’s winless start in their first four league matches. His tenure has ended after just 12 matches in charge, during which he managed only 10 points from eight Serie A games and recorded four wins across all competitions, including the Europa League. Roma’s struggles have left them sitting in 13th place in the Serie A standings with 13 points, just four points above the relegation zone.
Roma’s director Ghisolfi confirmed the next steps for the club, stating, “We’re gonna take some time to pick the best option”.
