Roma edges Torino, Fiorentina and Lazio extend winning streaks

Roma’s narrow 1-0 victory over Torino last night might have secured a lifeline for manager Ivan Juric following a tough run of form. With this win, Roma snapped a three-game winless streak, providing Juric, who took over from Daniele De Rossi last month, with some much-needed relief. Paulo Dybala’s decisive first-half goal was enough to push Roma up to 12th in the Serie A standings. The goal also marked a milestone for Dybala, who reached 125 Serie A goals, tying Gonzalo Higuain as the league’s third-highest-scoring Argentine. Only Hernan Crespo (153) and Gabriel Batistuta (183) have scored more.

Elsewhere in Serie A, Fiorentina continued their impressive form, clinching a 1-0 win over Genoa, their sixth consecutive victory in all competitions. Robin Gosens scored the winner, with David De Gea making a crucial late save to secure the points. Meanwhile, Lazio cruised past Como 5-1, with Valentin Castellanos scoring twice. Nuno Tavares provided an assist before being sent-off in the second period, bringing his total to eight final passes in as many Serie A matches – an achievement unmatched across Europe’s top five leagues.
