Reports are emerging from Italy about Mario Balotelli’s potential return to Serie A. Torino is said to be interested in signing him as a replacement for Duvаn Zapata, who is expected to miss the season due to injury. Additionally, Genoa has expressed interest, with manager Alberto Gilardino reportedly contacting Balotelli earlier today to discuss a possible move. Talks between the sides are ongoing, and the striker, now a free agent, seems eager for a return to Italy.

Balotelli, known for his outspoken nature, recently responded sharply to criticism about his ability to still be a key player in Serie A. Addressing his detractors, he stated: “You’ve had enough with this Serie A nonsense. I promise you, as soon as I sign with an Italian team, I’ll dismantle it.”
Since leaving Adana Demirspor in July, Balotelli has been without a club. His last stint in Italy was with Monza between December 2020 and June 2021, during which he scored 6 goals in 14 appearances. As a former Italian international with 36 caps and 14 goals, Balotelli’s potential return to Serie A is generating significant attention.
