Bayern Munich to match Kane’s salary for Musiala, Joao Palhinha ready to wait for his chance

Bayern Munich’s rough patch extended to three winless games after a 3:3 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt over the weekend, where the Bavarians allowed an equalizer deep into injury time. This result follows another Bundesliga draw and a defeat away to Aston Villa in the Champions League, raising questions about the team’s form and their ability to maintain their high-intensity playing style.

Manager Vincent Kompany was asked whether his aggressive, pressing approach might be too exhausting for the players over the course of the entire season. However, the Bayern boss made his stance clear: “That’s my personality! You have to be ready in your mind – but we wouldn’t be the first team to maintain that for an entire season. We can expect that from ourselves.”

Portuguese midfielder, Joao Palhinha, who joined Bayern in the summer for €50 million, has so far played just 150 minutes. Despite limited game time, the midfielder remains optimistic about his future at the club: “My time will come. That’s why I’m working hard every day. I’m fighting to get my chance. To be honest, I’m not interested in the talk about whether I’m losing patience.”

Meanwhile, Bryan Zaragoza, who was signed by Bayern with an obligation to buy in January before being loaned out to Osasuna after limited minutes, also expressed no regrets about his move: “I don’t regret my move to Bayern at all. Two years ago I was playing in the second division, and then Bayern Munich signed me. That’s something unbelievable for any player.”

In other news, the Bavarian giants are preparing to make Jamal Musiala their joint highest-paid player alongside Harry Kane, with a new contract that could see him earn around £400,000 per week. Despite speculation, the 21-year-old is not thought to be in talks with Real Madrid or Manchester City, as Bayern look to secure their young star for the future.
