Kane and Salah reach 100 international caps, both mark the milestone with goals

Harry Kane has become the 10th player in history to reach 100 caps for the England men’s senior side, marking the milestone in spectacular fashion by scoring twice in England’s 2-0 victory against Finland at Wembley. The striker found the net in the 57th and 76th minutes, bringing his total tally for the national team to 68 goals. Kane has also assisted his teammates for another 19 Three Lions goals. The Bayern Munich forward made his debut in March 2015 in a Euro 2016 qualifier against Lithuania, when he scored just 79 seconds after entering the field as a substitute.

Kane, who has been a crucial figure for the Three Lions, expressed his pride after the match: “100 caps. Beyond what I dreamed of as a kid. So proud and I loved being able to share it with my family.”

Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah of Liverpool also reached the 100-game milestone for Egypt, celebrating the occasion with a goal in Egypt’s 4-0 win over Botswana. Salah’s tally for the Pharaohs now stands at 56 goals and 33 assists in 100 matches, cementing his status as a national icon.
