Kylian Mbappé’s goalless streak for France continued as he was left on the bench for much of their UEFA Nations League clash against Belgium, only entering the game in the 67th minute. Despite his introduction, the French superstar was unable to find the back of the net, extending his drought to five consecutive matches without scoring for the national team.

France managed to recover from their recent 1-3 home defeat to Italy on Friday by securing a crucial 2:0 victory against Belgium. The team’s manager Didier Deschamps, however, remained confident in his star forward, acknowledging the pressure on Mbappé while expressing optimism for his future form.
“Mbappé? He will score goals. We may have focused a little too much on him. It’s not done by snapping your fingers” said Deschamps. “But I repeat, the French team will always be stronger with him. I am convinced that in a month it will be better.”
Deschamps also praised Mbappé’s leadership, saying, “There are very high demands in his club. With us, he fully assumes his role as captain, even when he is not playing. I have no worries with Kylian.”
