Real Madrid had an exceptional season, winning both the Champions League and LaLiga titles. Under the guidance of manager Carlo Ancelotti, Los Blancos demonstrated their strength and consistency across both domestic and European competitions, securing their status as one of the top clubs in the world once again.
Girona surprised many with their incredible performance in LaLiga. Defying all expectations, the Catalan club finished in 3rd place, earning a spot in the Champions League for the first time in their history. Girona’s remarkable achievement is a testament to their hard work and determination throughout the season.
Bayer Leverkusen had a historic season under manager Xabi Alonso. The German club won the Bundesliga title and the DFB-Pokal, remaining undefeated in both competitions. Their dominant performance extended to the UEFA Europa League, where they reached the final. Unfortunately for Leverkusen, they suffered their only defeat of the season in the final against Atalanta, but their journey to the top has earned them a well-deserved nomination.
Borussia Dortmund also had a memorable campaign, reaching the Champions League final. Despite falling short in the final, BVB’s impressive run in the competition demonstrated their resilience and quality, making them a strong contender for the Team of the Year award.
Manchester City, last year’s winners in this category, continued their domestic dominance by winning their fourth Premier League title across the last five seasons. Under Pep Guardiola’s leadership, City once again showcased their tactical prowess and depth, securing their place among Europe’s top teams.
