Arthur Vermeeren is on the verge of joining RB Leipzig from Atletico Madrid on loan, with both clubs having reached a verbal agreement following the player’s decision to make the move. Atletico Madrid has given Vermeeren the green light to undergo medical tests in Germany, signaling the final stages of the transfer process.

The loan deal is set to include a buy option clause for RB Leipzig, which could become a mandatory obligation to buy if certain conditions are met during the season. This could see the 19-year-old midfielder make a permanent switch to the Bundesliga club in 2025.
Vermeeren’s transfer to Atlético Madrid was finalized in the last days of the winter transfer window earlier this year, with the Spanish club paying a fee of €18 million to secure the Belgian talent from Antwerp. However, his time under Diego Simeone has been limited, featuring in only five games and totaling just 160 minutes on the field.
Meanwhile, Rojiblancos have finalized the loan deal for French defender Clement Lenglet from Barcelona and have also booked medical tests for goalkeeper Juan Musso, who joins on loan from Atalanta. Musso’s deal comes with an obligation to buy under certain conditions.
