West Ham leads the race for PSG midfielder

Carlos Soler has identified West Ham United as his preferred destination, with both the club’s director, Tim Steidten, and manager, Julen Lopetegui, have been pushing hard to secure his signature. Negotiations are already underway between West Ham and Paris Saint-Germain to finalize the transfer. However, West Ham needs to complete some outgoing transfers to facilitate the Spaniard’s arrival.

Despite interest from other clubs, including Everton, West Ham currently leads the race for Soler. Everton has made an approach to PSG for the 27-year-old midfielder, but Soler’s priority remains a move to the London – based club.

Soler’s absence from PSG’s match against Montpellier today further fuels speculation about his imminent departure. While Soler is sidelined due to his close proximity to a transfer, PSG defender Milan Skriniar will also miss the match, though his absence is purely a tactical decision by manager Luis Enrique.

As the transfer window nears its end, West Ham is in a strong position to land Soler, adding a significant boost to their midfield options. The coming days will be crucial as the club works to finalize the deal and strengthen their squad for the season ahead.
