Como closing in on 3 new signings after “dose of reality” from Juventus over the weekend

Newly promoted Serie A side Como aims to further reinforce their squad before the summer window closes. The club has already secured high-profile signings in French defender Raphael Varane and Italian striker Andrea Belotti, both of whom are expected to play key roles in the team’s quest for top-flight stability. However, Como’s ambitions don’t stop there, as they continue to pursue additional reinforcements to boost their chances in Italy’s topflight. Fabrizio Romano reports that the club is on the verge of completing deals for three new players.

Cesc Fabregas, the club’s manager, is optimistic that Como will finalize three crucial signings this week. Among these targets is Sergi Roberto, the experienced Spanish full-back who is currently a free agent. Roberto is on the verge of joining Como on a two-year contract, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his years in LaLiga, which will undoubtedly add both depth and versatility to the squad.

In addition to Roberto, Como is closing in on a deal to sign the promising Argentine talent Nico Paz from Real Madrid. The club has already sent an official proposal to the Spanish giants for a permanent transfer, and the deal is almost complete, with Paz having accepted the terms offered by Como. The agreement includes Real Madrid retaining a sell-on and buy-back clause, ensuring they have future control over the young midfielder’s career.

Como is also making a strong push to secure the services of another Argentine prospect, Máximo Perrone, from Manchester City. The club is preparing to submit an official bid for a loan deal with an option to buy. As with Paz, Manchester City is expected to include a buy-back and sell-on clause, reflecting their desire to keep an eye on Perrone’s development.

Como faced a harsh introduction to Serie A, suffering a 3-0 defeat in their opening match against Juventus in Turin. Fabregas described the result as a “dose of reality” acknowledging the challenges that lie ahead. However, the potential new signings are expected to inject fresh energy into the squad, which could prove crucial as the team seeks to establish itself in the top tier of Italian football.
