One of the unresolved issues is the future of Sofyan Amrabat. United has not yet made a decision on whether to pursue the Fiorentina midfielder. Fiorentina, too, is waiting for a definitive move from the English club. Meanwhile, the situation with Mason Greenwood is becoming clearer. The Red Devils are negotiating with Marseille, who are reportedly close to securing Greenwood. Any deal will likely include a significant sell-on clause, potentially as high as 40-50% of a future sale, ensuring United benefits from a subsequent transfer involving the forward.
In defence, the club is actively seeking to bolster their options. Manchester United has sent a new formal bid to Everton for Jarred Branthwaite, offering £45 million fixed fee plus £5 million in add-ons. However, the Toffees are holding firm on their valuation of £65-70 million, leaving the deal in a state of negotiation.
Additionally, Manchester United is pursuing a deal for Bayern Munich’s Matthijs de Ligt. Talks with with Bavarian giants are ongoing, and United remains confident of securing the Dutch defender’s services. De Ligt, keen on the move, has reportedly expressed a strong desire to reunite with Erik ten Hag, his former manager at Ajax.
