Recent conversations between Davies’ agent, Nedal Huoseh, and Bayern Munich’s board seemed promising, after Max Eberl suggested a new agreement was in place. However, Bayern’s board was not satisfied with the financial terms asked by the Canadian player’s camp. The proposed four-year contract would have amounted to a €100 million package, including a €15 million signing fee. That amount was deemed too high by Bayern’s management and is a stumbling block in the negotiating process.
With the latest stall in negotiations, Alphonso Davies could be back on the market if Bayern Munich cannot find a more appealing financial package for his renewal. Real Madrid remains attentive to the developments and is prepared to act depending on Davies’ final decision.
