Manchester City has initiated an unprecedented legal action against the Premier League, igniting a civil war among the clubs. The hearing is set to start on June 10, with Manchester City describing the Premier League’s financial rules as a ‘tyranny of the majority’.
On the back of the aforementioned news, Man City chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak expressed his frustration over the 115 charges being mentioned alongside the club’s success, stating, “It’s frustrating. There is a process we have to go through. I’ve always repeated, let’s be judged by the facts and not by claims and counterclaims.”

Regarding the future of manager Pep Guardiola, al-Mubarak commented: “This decision on his future is always a decision that we will take together. I have no doubt that we will find, as always, the right solution that works for Pep and us.”
Amidst the legal battles and managerial considerations, star striker Erling Haaland remained tight-lipped on his contract situation with Manchester City. “I’ve had two fantastic years and have three years left. That’s really all I can say” Haaland stated. When asked to share at least if some negotiating is going on the Norwegian added “That’s all I can say, what I just said”.
