Napoli’s plans for the summer transfer window are already shaping up even before Antonio Conte’s official presentation as the team’s manager for next season. Fabrizio Romano reveals that the club has already targeted Torino’s center back Alessandro Buongiorno and is preparing a bid for the services of the 24 year old defender, after making a direct contact a few days ago. Buongiorno has played 31 matches for Torino, scoring 3 goals in the process.

Another name that has been linked with Napoli is that of striker Romelu Lukaku, whose loan deal with Roma expires at the end of June and he has to return to Chelsea. The towering Belgian did not enjoy the best of seasons in 2023/24 but still managed to score 21 goals in 47 outings across all competitions, while also providing 4 assists. Lukaku has a £38m release clause inserted in his contract for this summer but a transfer to Napoli will be heavily dependant on Victor Osimhen’s future, who is currently the club’s most valuable asset.
