Boston and Dallas one win away from reaching the NBA finals

Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks are both one victory away from booking their tickets to the NBA finals. The Celtics defeated Indiana Pacers 114-111 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday to take a 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference series. Jayson Tatum led the team with 36 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists while Jaylen Brown and Al Horford scored 24 and 23 each. In the absence of the injured Tyrese Haliburton, the Pacers relied on Andrew Nembhard, and he ended the game with 32 points and 9 assists. T.J. McConnell, Pascal Siakam, and Myles Turner had 23, 22, and 22 points respectively, but none other of the Indiana roster managed to score more than 4 points.

Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and the Mavericks also enjoy a commanding 3-0 lead in the series against Minnesota Timberwolves. Last night at American Airlines Center Dallas came out on top, winning 116-107. The Mavs’ back court duo of Doncic and Irving combined for 66 points, with each dropping 33. Anthony Edwards was the highest-scorer for the Wolves, but his 26 points were not enough for the win.
