Toni Kroos will not renew his contract with Real Madrid and retire after Euro 2024. The announcement came from the legendary midfielder, who posted a letter on social media, confirming that the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund on 1st of July will be his last game for Los Blancos.

Since joining Real Madrid, the German sniper has amassed 463 appearances in all competitions for the club, scoring 28 goals and delivering 98 assists. Kroos recently announced a return to the German national team to participate in Euro 2024 which will be held in his native Germany. The player has won almost everything in football with the only major silverware missing from his trophy cabinet being the gold medal from a European championship. Besides the 2014 World Cup triumph, Kroos has won 5 Champions League titles (the number might increase to 6), 3 times the Bundesliga title, and 4 LaLiga gold medals among plethora of other trophies.
