Brunson drops 43 on Pacers, Denver in trouble

Jalen Brunson led the New York Knicks to 1-0 advantage in the Eastern Conference semi-finals series with Indiana Pacers, as he scored 43 points on Monday night. The point guard was solidly aided by Josh Hart who concluded the meeting at Madison Square Garden with a near triple-double, hitting 24 points, grabbing 13 rebounds, and providing 8 assists. Each of the Knicks’ starting line-up scored 13 or more points while for the Indiana Pacers Myles Turner was the highest-scorer with 23 but Tyrese Haliburton had a disappointing night, finishing with only 6 points for 36 minutes on the court.

The defending champions from Denver find themselves in a trouble after losing once more to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Last night, the Wolves triumphed 106:80 at Ball Arena in Colorado and are 2-0 up in the series which move to Minnesota for the next two meetings. Rudy Gobert was absent but Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns took control of the game, each scoring 27 points. For the Nuggets, Nicola Jokic ended with 16 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists but Jamal Murray scored only 8.
