Timo Werner has openly expressed his desire to remain with the Spurs beyond his temporary spell. The 28-year-old German forward is currently on loan at Tottenham from RB Leipzig. The Premier League team holds a €17 million buy option as part of the loan agreement, but Werner’s future at the club remains very much in the balance.

Werner moved from the German Bundesliga to the Premier League in January, during the winter transfer window. He is no stranger to the life in the Premier League and London, having previously wore the Chelsea shirt between 2020 and 2022. Now, in his second stint in England’s top flight, Werner has made a modest impact with 2 goals and 3 assists in 11 Premier League appearances so far.
Reflecting on his time at Tottenham, Werner shared his enthusiasm: “I’m enjoying it a lot. Playing with this team, these teammates, in this style and in this stadium… I love it here!”.
As the German forward awaits the decision on his future, he is slowly establishing himself as an integral part of the Spurs squad. Werner has been trusted by Ange Postecoglu to start from the 1st minute in each of the team’s last 3 Premier League matches, with Tottenham recording 2 victories and a draw in the process.
