Lamine Yamal eyes victory in the quarter-final against PSG and dreams of Barcelona legacy

Barcelona’s young star Lamine Yamal is gearing up for his first UEFA Champions League quarter-final appearance, setting his sights on a win against Paris Saint-Germain. Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, Yamal shared his anticipation and a bold prediction for the game. “I can’t wait for my first quarter-finals in UCL. Sometimes I think about how crazy this is when I’m in my room… In my opinion, we’ll win 1-0 in Paris on Wednesday” he stated, confidently adding, “Who scores? Me!”

Despite being only 16 years old, Yamal has already established himself as a key piece of the Barcelona squad, appearing in 40 matches this season, scoring 6 goals, and providing 7 assists. His performances have not only caught the attention of fans and critics but also Barcelona’s management, with President Laporta reportedly rejecting a €200 million proposal for the young forward. “I’m so happy about that. The president recognizes my job, my football. I’d be super happy to become a Barcelona legend” Yamal expressed, eager to follow in the footsteps of club legends like Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, and Puyol.

As Barcelona prepares for the crucial 1st leg of their Champions League quarter-final battle with PSG at Parc des Princes, Yamal remains focused on the present while dreaming big for his future. “Keep calm, there are still two years before my next contract… it’s time to enjoy” he remarked.
