PSG have come out to deny publicly the rumours linking Marco Asensio with a move during the January transfer window. Both, the player and the club have stated that the Spaniard will remain in Paris at least until the summer. In recent days Asensio’s name has been linked with a move to Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen, but the recent statement comes to quash these rumours.

In the team’s most recent match against Brest on Sunday Marco Asensio opened the scoring on the 38th minute, with his 4th goal in all competitions for the campaign. The attacker has spent the majority of the 2023/24 season in the threatment room and has been used in only 12 of PSG’s 28 matches, recording a total of 571 minutes of football. Asensio joined Paris Saint-Germain last summer on a free transfer from Real Madrid where he had won it all in club football.
