Kylian scored a brace on his birthday, and his younger brother Ethan made a professional debut in PSG’s 3-1 victory over Metz on Wednesday. The elder of the Mbappe brothers scored his first goal on the hour mark and added a 2nd in the 83rd minute. Kylian is on the verge of leaving the club, as his current contract expires in the summer of 2024, and he has so far refused to sign a new deal, while PSG wants to keep him. Even if Kylian leaves the team, the Mbappes’ time in PSG may continue uninterrupted.

At only 16 years and 356 days, Ethan entered the pitch as a substitute in stoppage time, enjoying the closing stage of the match with his big brother. He is set to celebrate his 17th birthday in less than 10 days on the 29th of December. The future for Ethan is bright, and everybody in Paris hopes that he will reach his elder brother’s level. As for Kylian, he will be able to speak freely to clubs regarding a potential free transfer in less than 2 weeks’ time.
While for Ethan, that was the first-ever appearance on the pitch for PSG’s senior team, Kylian has already written his name in the club’s history books. At the age of 25, he is already Parisians’ all-time leading goalscorer with 233 goals.
