Winger Leroy Sane and Bayern Munich have reached an agreement to renew their contract, which was set to expire in summer 2025. According to Bild, the final details of the new deal are expected to be completed next week.

The extension will run through the summer of 2028, with Sane earning €10 million per season plus up to €5 million in bonuses. The club’s leadership appreciated the player’s dedication, as he agreed to a reduced salary compared to his previous terms. The 29-year-old also declined a lucrative offer from Saudi club Al-Ittihad, who proposed a yearly wage of €25 million.

Sane, who joined Bayern from Manchester City in summer 2020, has made 216 appearances for the Bavarians so far, scoring 59 goals and providing 54 assists. He remains a regular starter and a key figure under the current coaching staff.

The winger was the last of a trio of Bayern players with expiring deals in 2025 to reach an agreement. Before him, the Bundesliga giants had already secured extensions with Alphonso Davies and Joshua Kimmich.
