    Key Takeaways:

  • Boston led from the second quarter onward despite playing without Jayson Tatum
  • Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis each posted a double-double
  • Celtics took a 2–0 lead in the series against Orlando

Boston Celtics claimed a 109:100 victory over Orlando Magic in Game 2 of the NBA Playoffs first round. The visitors led briefly in the first quarter at TD Garden, but the Celtics took charge after that and never looked back. Boston held a 15-point lead in the second half, though Orlando launched a late push to reduce the deficit to nine by the end.

The Celtics were without their All-Star Jayson Tatum, sidelined with a right wrist injury. It marked the first playoff game he has missed in his career, ending a streak of 114 consecutive postseason appearances.

In his absence, last season’s Finals MVP Jaylen Brown stepped up, finishing with a double-double of 36 points and 10 rebounds. Kristaps Porzingis also contributed significantly, scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. For the Magic, Paolo Banchero led the way with 32 points and 9 rebounds, while Franz Wagner added 25. Boston now leads the series 2–0 against Orlando.
