  • The Bulls and Kings featured multiple players facing their former teams after recent trades
  • Coby White scored 31 of his 35 points in the second half to fuel Chicago’s comeback from a 19-point deficit

The Chicago Bulls pulled off a 128-116 road victory over the Sacramento Kings, fueled by a second-half explosion from Coby White and a historic milestone from DeMar DeRozan. White poured in 31 of his 35 points after half-time to lead the Bulls back from a 19-point deficit, while DeRozan became the 27th player in NBA history to reach 25,000 career points.

The match-up featured many familiar faces, with both teams recently engaged in major trades. DeRozan was sent to Sacramento in a three-team sign-and-trade involving the Bulls and Spurs in July 2024. Then, on February 3, 2025, Kevin Huerter was traded from the Kings to the Bulls in a deal that also sent De’Aaron Fox to San Antonio and Zach LaVine from Chicago to Sacramento.

White was nearly perfect from the free-throw line, making 13 of 14 attempts. Kevin Huerter added 25 points, shooting 5-of-9 from beyond the arc, along with 7 assists and 4 steals. Nikola Vucevic contributed a near triple-double with 24 points, 14 rebounds, and 8 assists. On the Kings’ side, Malik Monk led the scoring with a season-high 34 points, including five three-pointers. Trey Lyles and DeRozan each finished with 22 points.

DeRozan’s milestone came with 1:56 remaining in the third quarter when he knocked down a jumper. He joined an exclusive club that includes LeBron James, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Russell Westbrook, and Stephen Curry.
