Juventus was the more active side throught the game and theirJu pressure finally paid off in the 73rd minute. After a well-worked move, Andrea Cambiaso was played into the penalty area and laid the ball back to Khéphren Thuram, who sent it into the net to make it 1-0.
In the 90th minute, Juventus secured the win with a second goal. A mistake from Montipò while playing the ball out allowed the hosts to intercept and launch a quick counterattack. Teun Koopmeiners broke into the penalty area and scored from a tight angle to make it 2-0.
This was Juventus’ fifth consecutive Serie A victory and they moved back to fourth place in the table with 52 points, now just six behind leaders Inter. Verona are 14th with 26 points.
