AC Milan secured a place in the Coppa Italia semi-finals with a 3-1 victory over Roma at San Siro. João Félix made a memorable debut by scoring Milan’s third goal, while Tammy Abraham netted twice for the Rossoneri. New signings Santiago Giménez and Riccardo Sottil also featured in their first match for the club. Sérgio Conceição kept Rafael Leao and most of Milan’s recent signings on the bench at the start. Claudio Ranieri also rotated his Roma squad, leaving Artem Dovbyk as a substitute.

Milan took the lead in the 16th minute when Theo Hernández delivered a cross from the left, allowing Tammy Abraham to head the ball into the net. Roma came close to an equalizer soon after, but Niccolò Pisilli hit the post following a pass from Angeliño. Just before halftime, Abraham doubled Milan’s advantage with another header, again assisted by Hernández.

Ranieri made three changes at halftime that immediately improved Roma’s play. In the 54th minute, Angeliño’s cross deflected off a defender and fell to Dovbyk, who scored from close range to make it 2-1.

Milan responded by introducing João Félix and Santiago Giménez, and the two combined for the team’s third goal. Giménez provided the assist, sending Félix through on goal, and the Portuguese forward chipped the ball over goalkeeper Svilar. Late in the match, Riccardo Sottil also made his Rossoneri debut. Milan now awaits the winner of the Inter vs Lazio quarter-final for the semi-finals.
