Bayer Leverkusen has finalized a loan agreement with AS Roma for central defender Mario Hermoso. The 29-year-old Spaniard is already in Leverkusen for medical tests before signing his contract. The loan deal does not include an option for a permanent transfer in the summer.

Hermoso, who joined Roma on a free transfer from Atlético Madrid in September, has made 13 appearances and scored one goal for the Italian club during the first half of the season. The defender also has five caps for the Spanish national team.

Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen is awaiting the final paperwork to complete the sale of striker Victor Boniface to Al-Nassr. The Nigerian forward has already passed his medical exams, with the deal valued at approximately €70 million.

However, Al-Nassr has delayed returning the signed contract, leading to speculation that the Saudi club is negotiating a parallel deal for Aston Villa striker Jhon Durán. Reports suggest that if Al-Nassr opts to sign Durán instead, they may withdraw from the Boniface transfer.
