Nottingham Forest secured a convincing 3-0 victory away to Wolverhampton Wanderers in a Premier League match, marking their sixth consecutive win in the league. They team dominated the game, scoring twice in the first half through Morgan Gibbs-White in the 7th minute and Chris Wood in the 44th minute. The visitors cemented their dominance in the second half, adding a third goal deep into stoppage time through Taiwo Awoniyi in the 90+4′ minute.

This impressive win closed the gap between Forest and league leaders Liverpool to six points, with Forest trailing second-placed Arsenal only by goal difference. The last time Forest suffered a defeat was more than a month ago, on December 4, 2024, when they lost 3-0 to reigning champions Manchester City. This current run of form is a remarkable feat for the club, as they last managed a similar streak over half a century ago, back in 1967.

On the other hand, the loss ended a promising three-match unbeaten streak for Wolverhampton, which included a 3-0 win over relegation rivals Leicester City, a 2-0 triumph against Manchester United, and a hard-fought 2-2 draw against Tottenham in London. Wolves now sit 16th in the standings, just above the relegation zone, tied on 16 points with 17th-placed Ipswich.
