Nikola Jokic leads Nuggets to comeback win over Warriors

The Denver Nuggets staged a thrilling 21-6 run in the final six minutes to defeat the Golden State Warriors 119-115 in an NBA game last night. The win improved Denver’s record to 11-8, while the Warriors’ struggles continued with their fifth consecutive loss, dropping them to 12-8.

Nikola Jokic delivered a masterclass performance, tallying 38 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals. Nikola Jokic recorded his third career game with at least 35 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals, joining James Harden and Larry Bird as the only players in NBA history to achieve this feat three times. Michael Porter Jr. added 22 points, and Aaron Gordon contributed 15 points in his first start of the season.

Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 24 points, 7 rebounds, and 11 assists, but his efforts were not enough to secure a victory. The Warriors faltered late, struggling to contain Denver’s offense in the final moments.

Post-game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr criticized guard Brandin Podziemski for making costly turnovers and fouls, stressing the importance of smarter decision-making. Podziemski accepted responsibility for his mistakes and vowed to improve, particularly on defense.
