Cavaliers continue on winning path, Bucks and Knicks advance in NBA Cup

The Cleveland Cavaliers dominated the Washington Wizards with a 121-90 victory, handing the Wizards their 15th consecutive loss. Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley led Cleveland with 19 points each, with Mobley also grabbing 10 rebounds. Darius Garland exited the game with a head injury but is not expected to miss any time. The 31-point win marked the Cavaliers’ largest margin of victory this season and improved their league-best record to 19-3.

The Milwaukee Bucks secured their spot in the NBA Cup quarterfinals, recording 7th straight victory, defeating 128-107 the Detroit Pistons. Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied 28 points, while Damian Lillard added 27, as the Bucks extended their winning streak against Detroit to 11 games.

In East Group A action, the New York Knicks clinched a perfect 4-0 record with a 121-106 win over the Orlando Magic. Karl-Anthony Towns led the Knicks with 23 points and 15 rebounds, while Jalen Brunson added 21 points. Franz Wagner and Mo Wagner were Orlando’s top performers, scoring 30 and 20 points, respectively. Despite the loss, the Magic advanced to the quarterfinals as the East wild card with a 3-1 record. There they will face the Milwaukee Bucks, while the Knicks will come up against the Atlanta Hawks.
