Ruben Amorim spoke to the media ahead of Manchester United’s visit to Arsenal on Wednesday, providing updates on key players and the team’s preparation. Highlighting the return of Leny Yoro to the squad, Amorim described the young defender as “a special talent” and praised his speed and ability to defend in one-on-one situations. “He’s really fast, a modern defender, that is good when you want to press high” said Amorim, while cautioning that the team has had limited training time together since Yoro’s recovery.

Bruno Fernandes is also expected to feature in the match, with Amorim confirming that the midfielder is fully fit. “He is a guy who doesn’t need a lot of rest, so he is prepared to play again” Amorim assured. Fernandes remains a cornerstone of United’s midfield as the team continues to adapt under Amorim’s leadership.
Amorim emphasized the collective effort in the squad, pointing out the importance of showing to the players that they are all valued early in his tenure. “Imagine how the dressing room feels when everyone has started in the first three games” he remarked. “They must feel that they are very important to us. That’s the message for everyone. We are all together.”
The Red Devils are making moves to secure a new long-term deal for Amad Diallo before the end of 2024. They are said to not even be considering activating the clause to extend his current contract for an additional season until 2026, and will rather offer Diallo fresh terms.
