Lewandowski surpasses 100 Champions League goals in Barcelona victory, Inter refuse to concede and go top

Barcelona secured a commanding 3-0 victory over Brest in their Champions League clash at Montjuïc, returning to winning ways in the competition. Robert Lewandowski scored his 100th Champions League goal in the 10th minute from the penalty spot, joining Lionel Messi (129) and Cristiano Ronaldo (140) as the only players to reach this milestone. Dani Olmo added a second goal in the 66th minute, and Lewandowski struck again in stoppage time to bring his tally to 101 goals in the tournament. Brest, one of the surprises of the competition so far, suffered their first defeat and were largely outplayed by Barcelona, who now have four wins and sit among the top teams in the standings.

Inter claimed a narrow 1-0 victory against RB Leipzig at home, moving to the top of the Champions League standings. A 27th-minute own goal by Castello Lukeba sealed the win for the Italian champions, who are now on a four-game winning streak in the tournament. Inter remains the only team among the 36 participants yet to concede a goal in this year’s competition, while Leipzig suffered their fifth consecutive loss.
