Liverpool and Mohamed Salah’s management are in ongoing discussions regarding a potential new contract beyond 2025, according to Sky Sport’s Florian Plettenberg. However, no agreement has been reached, as there is still a significant gap between both parties. Salah, who remains a highly sought-after player, reportedly has other top options available in Saudi Arabia and Europe.

Despite the contract uncertainty, Salah continues to deliver exceptional performances for Liverpool. This season he has already reached double figures in both goals (10) and assists (10) in all competitions, a milestone he has now achieved for four consecutive seasons at Liverpool. Additionally, he is averaging a goal contribution every 67.4 minutes across all tournaments (20 contributions in 1,347 minutes), marking his best-ever minutes-per-goal/assist average since joining the Reds.
Liverpool are flying with Salah firing on all cylinders and new manager Arne Slot, who has guided the club to 28 points from their first 11 Premier League games this season – just three points shy of their best-ever start at this stage in 2019/20.
