Amad’s double seals Manchester United’s first European win in 380 days

Manchester United secured a 2-0 victory over PAOK in a Europa League clash played at Old Trafford last night, marking their first win in European competitions in over a year. Both goals came in the second half, with Amad Diallo stealing the spotlight by scoring in the 51st and 77th minutes. This match marked Amad’s first start since October 3, and he delivered an inspiring performance to break United’s European drought of 380 days.

The Red Devils, led by Ruud van Nistelrooy, endured a lackluster first half, offering little to excite the fans. However, they shifted gears after the break, showing enough attacking intent and energy to secure the win. Reflecting on his brace, Amad stated, “I like to celebrate with the fans and give them joy. I’m happy to score again” while emphasizing his commitment to the club, adding, “I’m here to do my best for Manchester United”.

Amad also highlighted his dedication, remarking, “I always try to do my best, even when I am not starting. We are here to play. And when you don’t play, you have to give your best. Last night as always, I try to give my best”.

Looking ahead, Amad expressed enthusiasm about working under newly appointed coach Ruben Amorim, saying, “I can’t wait to work with him! I’m very happy to have Amorim as new coach.”
