Enzo Maresca praises Cole Palmer’s joy for the game, Reece James returns to Chelsea training

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca had high praise for Cole Palmer ahead of the team’s upcoming clash against Liverpool. Speaking about the young midfielder, Maresca said, “Cole Palmer is like a kid, he always wants the ball, to play and to enjoy, he is so happy!” The Italian manager also added, “You can see in sessions, he is always one of the first around the ball and wants the ball.” Palmer’s enthusiasm and skill were recognized earlier this week as he was named Player of the Month for September, with Maresca also earning Manager of the Month honour.

September was a strong month for Chelsea, with the team winning three out of four matches and scoring nine goals. They will be looking to carry that momentum into Sunday’s match at Anfield, where they face league leaders Liverpool. In addition, Chelsea fans were given a boost as the club confirmed Reece James is back in team training, marking excellent news for Maresca and his squad ahead of the crucial fixture.
