Tchouameni set to captain France again, remains comitted to Real Madrid amid Premier League links

Aurélien Tchouaméni has solidified his position as a key figure at Real Madrid, with no intentions of leaving the club despite recent rumours linking him to Premier League clubs. His focus remains on continuing his development and performing at the highest level with Los Blancos. Tchouaméni’s leadership qualities have not gone unnoticed, with the midfielder recently captaining the French national team for the first time in their UEFA Nations League 4-1 victory over Israel.

Ahead of the today’s visit to Belgium, Tchouaméni is once again expected to wear the captain’s armband for France, showing his growing influence both on and off the pitch. Speaking about Tchouaméni’s role as captain, France manager Didier Deschamps praised the player’s ability to handle the pressure, stating, “He has the ability to express himself, and I think he won’t give the media anything that will set the press on fire later.”

Tchouaméni himself has been vocal about the lessons he’s learned from veteran players, particularly from Paul Pogba, whose advice continues to resonate with him. The Real Madrid midfielder shared, “Paul always said, ‘You have to beat the best to be the best’ and that has stuck with me.”

At just 23 years old, Tchouaméni already boasts 36 appearances for the national team since making his debut in 2021, showcasing his steady rise in both the French squad and at Real Madrid.
