Luis Enrique praises Mbappe, as PSG tries to avoid losing another key player by starting contract talks with Hakimi

Paris Saint-Germain are working on securing the future of one of their key players, Achraf Hakimi, as part of their long-term project. Talks have already begun, with the club keen to keep the Moroccan right-back and avoid losing him for a free, with memories of Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid still fresh. PSG view Hakimi as a crucial figure in their plans for the coming years.

Meanwhile, Luis Enrique continues to heap praise on Kylian Mbappe, one of the club’s biggest stars, despite his departure to Real Madrid. “Kylian Mbappé is a wonderful player and a fantastic person, it’s difficult to find a special guy like him” said Enrique. “He’s fantastic. It was just a pity to see him leaving and joining Real Madrid.”

On Saturday, PSG were held to a 1-1 draw against Reims, with Ousmane Dembele scoring the equalizer in the 68th minute. The game also saw injury concerns for Parisians, as new signing Desire Doue is set to undergo tests on his ankle, which left him in visible discomfort. Kang-in Lee was also seen limping while boarding the team bus after the match, raising further worries for the squad’s fitness going forward.
