Luis Castro, however, has responded angrily to speculation about his future. When asked if his time at Al Nassr is coming to an end with Pioli reportedly arriving, Castro made his feelings clear: “I will make sure I don’t offend anyone. Lying is a very ugly thing and the truth is the best thing. If I have never been sacked in my 28-year career, it is because I have always stuck to my job.”
After the first three rounds of the Saudi Pro League, Al Nassr sits in 7th place in the standings with 5 points. Cristiano Ronaldo missed the AFC Champions League match against Iraqi side Al Shorta due to a virus infection. Despite being favorites, Al Nassr struggled without their star forward, and the match ended in a 1-1 draw, leaving the team unable to secure a win.
