PSG director reveals no bid was sent for Osimhen and ongoing talks with Donnarumma

Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Luis Campos recently addressed several key topics, providing insight into the club’s transfer strategy, contract negotiations, and thoughts on manager Luis Enrique. On the topic of potential signings, Campos revealed that Victor Osimhen was considered as an option during the summer, but clarified that the club never made a formal offer. “Osimhen was considered as one of the options, but we never sent any bid” he said, while also adding, “We were very satisfied with Gonçalo Ramos, Kolo Muani, and Marcos Asensio.”

Looking ahead, Campos confirmed that PSG is already working to secure the long-term future of goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. “We are working to extend Gigio Donnarumma’s contract” he revealed, with negotiations reportedly already in progress.

Campos also shared his views on how to maximize the potential of young players, calling for a change in how their contracts are structured. “Put an end to abusive clauses,” he said, suggesting that reducing restrictive terms would allow for more flexibility in player development and movement.

Discussing head coach Luis Enrique, Campos had high praise for the Spaniard’s leadership and intensity. “His involvement, his energy, his intensity… He pushes us to give our maximum every day” Campos said, highlighting Enrique’s relentless drive to bring out the best in his squad.
