Pep Guardiola on City’s 115 charges: “I’m not a lawyer”

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola recently addressed the ongoing situation surrounding the club’s 115 financial charges. In a press conference, Guardiola emphasized the importance of due process, stating, “Everybody is innocent until guilt is proven. We will see.” Acknowledging the complexity of the case, he added, “I’m not a lawyer. There are many lawyers in this country and in Spain.”

Guardiola expressed relief that the proceedings are about to begin, commenting, “I’m happy it’s starting on Monday. I know what people are looking forward to, what they expect.” He reiterated his hope for a swift resolution, saying, “Start soon, and hopefully finish soon. The independent panel will decide and looking forward to the decision!”

In other news, Erling Haaland has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for August. Haaland’s performances have been instrumental in Manchester City’s strong start to the season. The Norwegian striker scored 7 goals in the opening 3 games, including hat-tricks in his last two outings for City, against Ipswich and West Ham.
