Zubimendi also expressed his profound attachment to Real Sociedad, saying, “For me, Real is my life. I believe I have spent half of my life there. A large part of who I am is because of Real Sociedad. It is my life.”
Despite Liverpool’s keen interest in signing Zubimendi, the midfielder chose to stay at Real Sociedad. The English club made several attempts to secure his transfer, offering a substantial fee that matched the player’s release clause, but Zubimendi declined the move.
