Coaching strike looms over LaLiga

Coaches in LaLiga are considering going on a strike due to ongoing issues with unpaid salaries following their dismissals. Concerns over non-payment have grown in recent weeks, with several coaches raising this as a major issue that needs urgent attention.

An important meeting is scheduled for tomorrow between the coaches and LaLiga officials to discuss these concerns. The potential strike has been prompted by recent cases involving coaches like Quique Setién and Álvaro Cervera, who have faced difficulties in receiving their full salaries after being sacked by their clubs.

The coaches are demanding a clear agreement to ensure that clubs honour their contractual obligations, even after dismissals. A strike is being seriously considered as a way to pressure La Liga and the clubs into taking action to prevent non-payments following dismissals.

If no agreement is reached during tomorrow’s meeting, a strike by all LaLiga coaches remains a possibility. The situation highlights growing tensions within Spanish football regarding the treatment of coaches and the financial responsibilities of clubs. The outcome of the meeting could have important implications for the future operations of LaLiga and the relationship between clubs and their coaching staff.
